1/10/11 – Aerios offers new Behavioral Targeting technology for household-specific online display ad serving.

The latest of Aerios’ innovations in direct response and behavioral marketing is a new technology that makes online display advertising significantly more efficient and effective.

The process starts with Aerios using offline, real-world customer profiling data to identify those prospects with the highest likelihood of buying a client’s product or service. Then small bits of data code residing on those households’ home computers are activated so they see the Aerios client’s display ad wherever they surf from among 10,000 websites.

According to Aerios principal, Ross Dyer, “This lets us offer truly prospect-centric display ads – rather than media-centric ads.  Instead of buying an ad on a publication website where only 10% of their readers are qualified to buy our client’s product, we instead serve ads directly to those qualified visitors – on the sites where each one likes to surf.  So we can hit the right prospects at the same CPM as traditional display ads, but without the waste.”

Aerios will soon be deploying controlled tests for clients in the resort, real estate and telecommunications industries.
